How to copy Music onto Apple’s iPhone from iTunes

“I am having trouble copying music onto my Apple’s iPhone”, said my brother in phone. He hardly knows about iTunes, so only option was to tell him to bring his iPhone to this iPhone repair man. Until then I prepared him a playlist of 50 best songs for iPhone. So, he was here in minutes. The below how to’ was prepared while i showed him the simple way to copy music to iPhone. Hope this will help you guys too.

First thing you need to do is Create a custom Playlist for iPhone music Library.

To create a new custom Playlist in iTunes for iPhone, here’s a simple and easy way –

Go to File menu and Choose New Playlist, a new playlist will be pop-uped below on the playlist tab. You can rename the playlist with some logical name. For now I named the playlist as iPhone sync.

To add music in iTunes Playlist is very simple, only thing you need to do is drag and drop, so go on create your music list, which one do you like, Top 100 songs of 2012, Best 50 country songs, or Latest R&B collection, you can add any number of songs, any’ here depends on your iPhone’s memory.

Remember, those music you add on your playlist are just pointers to the music files in original music library, so you can freely delete music from your playlist and the original file will still be safe in library.

You can see the number of music files you have added to the playlist, total play time and the size occupied by the files at the very bottom of the iTunes app. This will definitely help you to add music files addressing your iPhone’s internal memory.

Now you can connect your iPhone to your PC, if you have not done already. Connecting iPhone to iTunes will show you a summary screen of the iPhone, where you can see your iPhone’s name, version and yes memory capacity.

Okey now, jump to music tab on summary screen and select Sync Music’ now below that choose the playlist you just created, as here we choose iPhone sync playlist

Now, if everything went well, you can click on sync button and the playlist will be added to iPhone’s Music Library. One exciting feature of iTunes playlist is, you can edit your playlist any time even when iPhone is not connected to PC, and later when connected, click on sync will automatically update your iPhone’s Playlist.

Now, next time you click on that ole’ “iPod” button on the iPhone, your selections from you music library will be present. Now you can listen to your best playlists on iPhone on-the-go.
